Bogotá: worldwide wine referent
Colombia?s capital will be hosting the 10th edition of Expovinos, the most important national wine fair and one of the most influential wine exhibitions in the region. This year?s annual version is expected to gather more than 30,000 visitors from all over. There will be 80 exhibitors from 10 different countries being Argentina the 2015 guest of honor. The event will take place From July 29th until August 1st at Bogotá?s International Center for Business and Exhibitions, Corferias.
Over 50 lectures will be held during this special 10 ? year anniversary where worldwide wine enologists will explain all one needs to know to become a real wine ?connoisseur?. Among the most recognized wine experts that will be present at Expovinos 2015 are: Daniel Pi, the enologist for Trapiche Wines from Mendoza, Argentina, the Chilean Aurelio Montes, founder of renowned Montes Winery, Luis Reginatto from Catena Wines also in Argentina and Jorge Riccitelli the chief enologist at Norton in Mendoza as well.
Colombia reported a total consumption of 15?405. 315 liters of wine (including sparkling) in 2013 and that number alone increased to 16?215.356 liters in 2014.
